The United States Army and all the military from this country is currently going through a serious crisis, they lack people who want to be recruited for the different branches.
As a way to support this and try to fix the problem, actor and WWE legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson took money from the Army in order to increase enrollment through campaigns run by Johnson.
But something happened since the money was given by the Army and they are seeking to recover millions of dollars over the poor attempt from UFL and Dwayne that may have landed zero recruits.
In fact, Johnson was a member of the team of investors who paid him $15 million that helped him secure the rights to the XFL back in 2020. Forthe second attempt to revive the idea, Johnson merged the XFL with the USFL to create the UFL.
How much does Dwayne Johnson have to pay back?
As part of the new creation, the United States Army saw this as a unique opportunity to recruit new members to the armed forces.
But the idea didn’t go as planned as many of the initial recruits dropped out of the army due to the current political climate and other reasons. That investment from the Army was a reported $11 million but they didn’t get a good return on their investment.
According to a report from Military.com, they expressed concern over this partnership as the Army is trying to recover $6 million out of the $11 million they invested. The recruiting campaign was catastrophic, according to top officials who were part of the effort.
