The signs are there: Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are headed for a divorce after only two years of marriage. The power couple surprised many when they rekindled their early-2000s romance, cementing it with a quick wedding in Las Vegas and a subsequent reception inside Affleck’s $8 million Georgia estate — but married life has been anything but bliss for the two movie stars.

Several disputes between the two led to Affleck moving out of their $60 million mansion in Beverly Hills and purchasing his own $20 million home in Brentwood — a move that reportedly infuriated Lopez and made it clear to “Jenny from the Block” that her marriage was ending. Now, insiders have told Page Six that JLo and “Good Will Hunting” star Affleck are preparing to announce that their marriage is over.

A friend of the unhappy couple told Page Six that Affleck and Lopez “got caught up in the moment” when they opted for a shotgun wedding in 2022, two decades after they called off their first engagement. Lopez — who wanted a wedding with all the “trappings and trimmings” for years — is now feeling the consequences of that impulsive decision, the friend said.

Affleck and Lopez were tabloid column regulars between 2002 and 2004, before their relationship ended due to Affleck’s discomfort with the attention that came with dating Lopez — who had already become a global pop icon. Their decision to rediscover some lost magic has fallen flat, their friend said, and now there are no doubts as to where the couple stands.

“They’ve turned the page on all the unfinished business of 20 plus years ago. They’ve seen things through to the end — and they know for sure now that they are not built for the long haul,” the friend said. “No further unanswered questions. They’ve seen all they need to see, and it’s over.”

Lopez recently returned to the Los Angeles area following a month at her Hamptons residence outside of New York City. JLo is reportedly looking at purchasing a new home herself — the latest indication that she too is looking to turn the page as her fourth marriage dissolves.
