Russia issues disturbing nuclear warning to US as WW3 fears grow

Russia has issued a warning to the US and Donald Trump amid growing concerns of the potential of World War III.

While President Trump has met with both Ukrainian and Russian officials in recent months, there appears to be no end in sight after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine over three-and-a-half years ago.

The talk of a third world war is never far away from the headlines, and with a top secret US spy plane seen circling Russia recently, worries have somewhat worsened.

Now, Russian deputy foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov has issued a warning to any country, including the US, regarding nuclear testing.

The Vladimir Putin ally accused the Trump administration of having its nuclear test infrastructure in a state of readiness and insisted Russia is ready to retaliate if such testing was to resume.

Russia’s deputy foreign minister went on to say on during a presser on Wednesday (October 8) that progress on a potential peace deal had stalled following Putin’s meeting with Trump in Alaska back in August.

“Unfortunately, we have to admit that the strong momentum from Anchorage in favor of reaching agreements has, to a large extent, been exhausted,” Ryabkov was quoted as saying by state media.

“This is the result of the Europeans’ destructive actions.”

Tensions have seemingly worsened between Russia and the US in recent weeks after Trump said he had ‘sort of made a decision’ on sending Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.

The long-range missiles could be used by Ukraine to hit targets deep within Russian territory.

Speaking of that impending decision to be made by the US president, Ryabkov added to Russian state media: “I hope that those who are pushing Washington toward such decisions fully understand the gravity and depth of the potential consequences.

“We, of course, call on the US leadership and the American military to approach this situation soberly, sensibly and responsibly.”

The Kremlin mouthpiece then went on to criticise the Trump administration, blaming the US in a breakdown of relations between the two nations.
“What we have is a building of sorts, a structure of relations that has cracked and is now collapsing. And the Americans are to blame for that,” Ryabkov added.

“I think it’s always easier to destroy than to build.”
