Prince Harry and Meghan Markle invited to the UK for Christmas by Princess Diana’s family as royals stay silent
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have received an invitation to spend Christmas at Althorp House — the childhood home of his late mother, Princess Diana, according to a report.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not been back in the UK for the festive season since the royal family’s gathering at Sandringham in 2018.
However, since quitting royal life in 2020 and moving to the US, Harry has stayed in close contact with his late mother’s side of the family, specifically his uncle Charles Spencer.
Charles [Spencer] has invited Harry, Meghan and the children to Althorp this Christmas,” a source told the Express. “It’s far too early to say whether they will take him up on it, but the offer is there if they want it.”
Should the Sussexes and their two children — Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet — decide to make the 5,396-mile journey from Montecito, Calif., to Althorp in England, it will be the first time the “Suits” alum has set foot on Harry’s soil since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in 2022.
