Chumlee from “Pawn Stars” Arrested and Serving Significant Prison Term… Read more to find out why…
Austin Lee Russell, better known to fans as Chumlee from the popular TV show “Pawn Stars,” has found himself on the wrong side of the law.
According to reports, Russell told a judge on Monday that he would take a plea deal on charges stemming from a police raid on his Las Vegas residence in March. The charges include possession of drugs and firearms.
Russell will submit a guilty plea to one count of attempting to possess a banned narcotic, as reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. As part of the plea deal, a second felony weapon charge will be upheld.
In addition to serving a prison term, Russell is required to complete three years of probation, attend counseling, and surrender any weapons or narcotics found on his premises.
The police raid on March 9 uncovered a significant number of illegal items at Russell’s home.
Authorities found 12 firearms, a plastic bag containing marijuana, and a trace amount of methamphetamine.
The discovered weapons included handguns, rifles, and an MP5 assault rifle. Police were initially at Russell’s house investigating a sexual assault allegation, though he was not charged in that case.
After paying a $62,000 bond, he was released from custody.
