adonna is looking back at the “serious bacterial infection” she suffered just over a year ago.

On Instagram, the 65-year-old singer shared some photos of herself celebrating the Fourth of July with some friends and in the caption, she opened up about recent health journey.

“Happy 4th of July!” she wrote. “A year ago today, I had just come home from the hospital after surviving a life threatening illness, I could barely stand in my backyard holding one sparkler.

I made a miraculous recovery and had an amazing year. Thank you God. Life is beautiful! ♥️🧨🔥.”

In the comments, people said they were glad to see that the legendary pop star was feeling better, with some even complimenting her on how amazing she looked in her Fourth of July pictures.
